Adva Print Fabric – Crackle
Description
Colourcraft Colours & Adhesives Ltd Adva Print Fabric Crackle Medium has been developed to re-create the effect of old varnish that cracks and crazes over time to produce a cracked/aged appearance.
It is designed to be printed or painted on top of a water repellent pre-coat (Colourcraft Aquaseal Pre-Coat). The appearance/nature of the crack is dependent upon applying the pre-coat and the amount of top-coat Adva Print Fabric Crackle Medium) applied by the screen or brush. Cracks/ crackle can be made larger or smaller depending on how much top coat is applied.
Instructions
- You can colour both parts with Adva Print Concentrated colours before applying with the same or contrasting colours. Print or brush on a pre coat of Colourcraft Aquaseal and quick dry at approx. 180ºc with a heat gun or bake for 3 minutes at 150º c.
- Print a layer of Colourcraft Adva Print Fabric Crackle Medium. It is preferable to apply a medium to thick layer; a medium print application will result in smaller cracks. A thicker coat – larger cracks. Quick dry again with a heat gun or bake for 3 minutes at 150ºc.
- If required, a second print or paint layer of Adva Print Fabric Crackle Medium can be made and cured at 150º for 3 minutes. Cracks will begin to appear during curing.
