Aquawax

Aquawax Paper Batik Medium

(Liquid Wax)

Aquawax has been specially formulated for use at all levels, from primary school children to more advanced work – it is fun and easy to use.  No heat required or fixing – simply allow to dry thoroughly.  Use cold – straight from the bottle.  Non-Toxic – Complies with EN71 Toy Regulations.

It is ideal for creating Paper Batik and, therefore, provides an ideal introduction to this type of design work on paper.  It can also be used on ceramic.   Superb coloured results can be achieved by mixing  Brusho® Water- Colour Powder  with Aquawax and, for outstanding metallic resist designs, add Lustre Powders to Aquawax.

Instructions For Use On Paper

Shake bottle before use.  Apply the wax at full strength to the paper with a brush and leave flat to dry thoroughly. (If required the drying process can be accelerated by warming to not more than 40°C).  As an alternative to applying by brush, try sponging, splashing etc.  Once dry, the wax will resist any water-based paint, leaving unpainted areas.  Wash brushes out immediately after use. For ceramic work – apply similarly to the surface and leave to dry.

Brusho® Water-Colour Powder is non-toxic and complies with EN71 Toy Regulations.
  5. For stencilling secure to paper with spray mount or something similar and apply aquawax with brush – leave to dry. Apply a second coat and leave to dry.
