Dip Dyeing Disperse Transfer Dyes

In addition to using as transfer dyes, disperse dyes can be used for dyeing polyester or polyester/cotton mix.

We strongly recommend performing a trial run on a scrap piece of fabric.

Method:

1. Prewash fabric and leave damp
2. Put sufficient  boiling water into a stainless container to allow free movement of the cloth, however, water can be added after steps 3 and 4 to ensure this
3. Add disperse dye and mix until thoroughly dissolved (see below)
4. Add the fabric to the dyebath and gently stir
5. For best results bring to the boil over a heat source (see below for length of time)
