Markal® Paintsticks
- Markal® Artists Paintstiks are real paint in stick form. They are made from highly refined drying oils blended with the finest pigments and moulded into sticks.
- They can be applied and blended to most surfaces in nearly infinite colour variations with the finger, a paintbrush, or pallet knife.
- They are ideal for sketching, composition and colour on colour.
- The sticks can be used on almost any surface such as paper, card, canvas, unglazed terracotta, wood, plaster and natural or man made fabric, leather and suede.
- The Paintstiks are self sealing to prevent dry out. Just peel film before using. Sealing film will reform in hours after use.
- All colours are fully intermixable and blendable.
- Blending Colours – 2 Blending Sticks Available:
- Professional: For producing more subtle tones by adding more binder.
- Iridescent: Works in a similar way when working with iridescent colours as previously described – i.e. creating more subtle tones whilst still retaining iridescent properties of the paintstik. It can also be added to the professional matte colours giving them a pearly, iridescence.
- When using on fabric. Create design and leave for 48 hours. Place between two pieces of baking parchment or greaseproof paper and apply a hot iron to both sides of fabric or, if this is not possible, use a hairdryer.
- Clean with white spirit or turpentine.
