.Dye Solution
Mix up a solution of dye using 100ml of very hot water, add in 20g of urea and then approximately 5g-10g of Easifix All In One dye (this will vary depending on what shade of colour you want, try painting out your mixed up dye solution on paper or a fabric test piece to see roughly what shade you will get) and then add to some of your manutex print paste until you get the consistency required.
.Thoroughly dampen your fabric. Apply your dye mixture as required.
.Place in a microwave proof dish and microwave for 2 – 3 minutes. It is vital that the fabric is checked every 20 seconds to ensure it remains damp as otherwise the fabric may burn. Add more water to the dish and allow to soak into the fabric, if it becomes at all dry. Also place a small pot of water in the back of the microwave.
.If required wash out the excess dye from the fabric.
.Take care not to shock the wool which will be hot when removed from the microwave.
