Simply mix with our Clear Printing Binder to turn Pearl Powder Pigments
into an excellent general painting medium or iron fix fabric paint for
professional finish textile embellishment, interior design, fine art painting,
stencilling and rubber stamping
Use on paper, glass, clay, fabric, canvas, plaster, plastic, shrink plastic, walls,
photo frames etc
Pearl Powder Pigments can also be mixed with most clear, viscous binders,
used with our range of air dried clay and with polymer clay to reproduce
the look of precious metals, hammered copper & pottery, in candle making,
with wax for encaustic applications and, of course, in card making
The colour of the interference colours changes with the viewing angle.
Particularly effective when used on dark backgrounds
Clear Printing Binder: A specially formulated ready to use clear binder
for mixing with our Pearl Powders (Lustre Powders) and Glitter Crystals
to convert them to a paint. Suitable for use on fabric, also for paper, card etc.
The binder dries clear and therefore, unlike other mediums, does not dull the sheen
of the powders/glitter crystals. Also ideal for use with our heat resistant sequins.
Once printing has been completed heat cure for 2 – 2.5 minutes at 150°C
Wash screens using water and a mild detergent
Mesh: 12 – 32T (30 – 86) mesh screens with rectangular profile squeegees
When selecting screen mesh, particle size should be taken into consideration
To avoid pick up if printing as part of a multi-coloured design, this print should be the last
colour
The Clear Printing Binder is part of our Eco- friendly, water based printing system which
provides a soft handle on fabric, brilliance of colour and a high yield with excellent all
round fastness
The Printing Binders listed below are mixed with our Eco Concentrated Colour Dispersions
and Fluorescent Concentrated Colour Dispersions (up to a maximum of 6%). Different
effects can be achieved depending on which of the Screen Printing Binders is being mixed
with the Eco Concentrated Colours:
The Solvent Free Soft Handle Standard Binder is used for creating standard printing colours,
the Opaque Printing Binder is for use on dark/dyed fabrics, ExpandIT 3D Texture Medium is
used for creating textured prints, the Pearl Printing Binder is for shimmering pearl and
metallic effects and for a superb crazed, cracked effect use the Fabric Crackle Glaze & Precoat
Suitable fabric: Cotton, poly/cotton blends.
Most fabrics are suitable. Fabrics with a low surface adhesion will require special care during
the drying process. It is always a good idea to carry out test prints on a small piece of fabric
to ensure the results will be as anticipated
